Boys At Tosconova  , winner of the Three Chimneys Hopeful Stakes (gr. I) and second to champion 2-year-old Uncle Mo   in the Grey Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (gr. I), will not run in Gulfstream Park's $400,000 Holy Bull Stakes (gr. III) Jan. 30.

Contacted on the afternoon of Jan. 26, trainer Rick Dutrow Jr. said he would delay the start of Boys At Tosconova's sophomore campaign.

“I don’t see anything wrong with him," Dutrow said. "I don’t think it would be smart to rush him into a race when we have a lot of time heading up to a race. He’s not showing his usual high energy. It would be stupid to rush him.”

The one-mile Holy Bull is expected to attract Remsen (gr. II) and Nashua (gr. II) runner-up Mucho Macho Man, Delta Jackpot (gr. III) winner Gourmet Dinner, Dialed In   and recent Gulfstream allowance winner Black N Beauty.

Boys At Tosconova would have been favored in the Holy Bull. The Kentucky-bred son of Officer out of the Coronado's Quest mare Little Bonnet has two wins and two seconds in four starts and earnings of $562,060 for owners Jay Em Ess Stable and Hot Racing Stable, et al.
