Daily Racing Form, whose offices at 100 Broadway were within a few blocks of the World Trade Center, is creating a charitable fund that will include the company's donation $1 for every newspaper it sells at Belmont Park on Oct. 27 for the Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships.

"Daily Racing Form is proud to join in the charitable relief efforts to help those whose lives were tragically affected by these attacks on our neighbors," said Steven Crist, editor and publisher of Daily Racing Form. Our charitable fund also will be a vehicle for our employees, readers, suppliers and others that we do business with to contribute to this cause."

Daily Racing Form will donate to the NTRA Charities-New York Heroes Fund and other charitable relief efforts. The New York Heroes Fund was established by the National Thoroughbred Racing Association as the sport's response to aid the families of New York firefighters, police officers, emergency services personnel and other victims in the surrounding communities who perished in the terrorist attacks.
