The first reported foal by classic-placed Dunkirk   is a filly foaled Jan. 10 for Peter E. Blum Thoroughbreds. The newborn, out of the Deputy Minister mare Sculpture, is boarded at Gerry Dilger’s Dromoland Farm near Lexington.

Sculpture, dam of five winners, is a half sister to Irish champion Tomahawk.

Dunkirk (Unbridled's Song  —Secret Status, by A.P. Indy) ran second in two grade I stakes in 2009, including the Belmont Stakes. Dunkirk stands at Ashford Stud near Versailles, Ky. His 2011 fee is $10,000.
