Gold Legend will move to Clarence and Dorothy Scharbauer's Valor Farm near Pilot Point, Texas, for the 2002 breeding season. The 11-year-old stallion, who previously stood at John A. Bell III's Jonabell Farm in Lexington, remains the property of William J. Condren and Jonabell Farm and will stand for $5,000 live foal. The move comes shortly after the farm was purchased by Sheikh Mohammed.
Gold Legend (Seattle Slew--Gold Beauty, by Mr. Prospector) has sired six stakes winners, including multiple grade I stakes winner Heritage of Gold, who earned $2.3 million. His other stakes winners include 2000 Texas Horse of the Year Gold Nugget.
