Weather in the Northwest has taken its toll on Portland Meadows racing.

Portland Meadows in Oregon canceled live racing for Jan. 3-4 because of freezing temperatures in the area. Officials said live racing is expected to resume Jan. 5 with a special post time of 12:20 p.m. PST.

Despite the cancellation of live racing, Portland Meadows will remain open for simulcast wagering both days.
