Likely 3-year-old filly champion Blind Luck worked six furlongs on Santa Anita’s main track Jan. 1 in 1:11 4/5 as she prepares for her 2011 debut in the El Encino Stakes (gr. II) Jan. 16.

Blind Luck’s workout was one of 216 recorded during the morning at Santa Anita.

“Fantastic” is how Jerry Hollendorfer assistant Dan Ward termed the drill. “She’s all cranked up and ready to go. She’ll have at least one more breeze before the race.”

Asked if the multiple grade I winner has had any physical changes as she turns 4, Ward said, “She’s the same. She looks like a 3-year-old filly champion.”

Blind Luck won three grade I races in 2010 -- the Las Virgenes, Kentucky Oaks and Alabama. She concluded the season with a runner-up finish behind Unrivaled Belle in the Breeders' Cup Ladies' Classic (gr. I) in her first try against older fillies and mares.

The daughter of Pollard's Vision  --Lucky One, by Best of Luck, finished 2010 with a 5-3-1 mark in nine races with earnings of $1,679,662.
