OBS Winter Mixed Sale Has 522 Horses

OBS Sale

The Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. has cataloged 522 horses for its 2011 winter mixed sale. The number is up 5.2% from 2010’s total of 496.

The 2011 edition of the auction will be held Jan. 18 and 19 in Central Florida. Hip numbers 1-190 will be offered during the consignor preferred session on the opening day. Hip numbers 191-522 will be offered during the second day’s open session. Each session will begin at 11 a.m. (EST).

There are 238 yearlings in the catalog and their sires include Any Given Saturday  , A.P. Warrior, Birdstone  , Bluegrass Cat  , Congrats  , Discreet Cat  , Henny Hughes, Lion Heart, Put It Back  , War Chant  , Wildcat Heir  , and Yes It's True  .

The pregnant mares that are scheduled to be offered are in foal to such stallions as Belong to Me  , Bernardini  , Colonel John  ,Curlin  , Einstein  , English Channel  , Flower Alley  , Graeme Hall  , Hard Spun  , Majestic Warrior  , Mizzen Mast  , Montbrook  , Old Fashioned  , Pioneerof the Nile  , Pleasantly Perfect  , Tiz Wonderful  , Shakespeare  , and With Distinction.
