Zenyatta, the now retired super mare who won 19 of 20 races, will make her final appearance later than originally scheduled at Keeneland Racecourse today, Dec. 6.
The mare is now scheduled to arrive at the Lexington racetrack at about 6 p.m. (ET) and will be paraded in the lighted outdoor show ring at the back of the Keeneland sales pavilion.
Zenyatta was originally scheduled to be in the outdoor saddling paddock and walking ring. The Lexington area is experiencing sub-freezing termperatures and light snow flurries.
The Keeneland visit is the last public appearance for Zenyatta before she goes to Mr. and Mrs. William S. Farish’s Lane’s End Farm near Versailles to begin her second career as a broodmare.
