Chad Brown, 31, won his first training title on The New York Racing Association circuit, saddling nine winners to edge Gary Contessa and Rudy Rodriguez at the recently concluded Aqueduct fall main track season.

Contessa, who was NYRA's leading trainer from 2006-2009, and Rodriguez, the former jockey who took Belmont Park’s fall championship meet, each had seven winners during the meet, which ended Nov. 28.

NYRA’s top jockey, Ramon Dominguez, continued to dominate, taking the riding title with 25 winners, nine more than runner-up Jose Lezcano. David Cohen was third with 15 winners during the 18-day meet.

Charlotte Weber’s Live Oak Plantation was a perfect four-for-four at the Big A, including promising juvenile To Honor and Serve’s victories in the Remsen and Nashua Stakes (both gr. II), to top all owners.
Racing moves to Aqueduct’s inner track beginning Dec. 2.
