Brooks 'n Down to Stand in Oklahoma

Brooks 'n Down, a half brother to undefeated juvenile filly Awesome Feather, will enter stud in 2011 at Ted and Lynn Griffith’s Legend Farm in Coleman, Okla. The 5-year-old son of Montbrook   will stand for a fee of $1,500 as the property of Jacks or Better Farm and Fred and Jane Brei.

Bred in Florida by Jacks or Better Farm and raced by his breeder, Brooks 'n Down won two of 29 starts, with a third in the Oak Hall Stakes at Evangeline Downs among his 10 placings, and earned $87,097.

Produced from multiple stakes winner Precious Feather, by Gone West, Brooks 'n Down is a half brother to Awesome Feather, whose six victories against no defeats have been highlighted by this year’s Grey Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (gr. I).
