Indian Charlie Stays at $70,000

Indian Charlie  , sire of leading 2-year-old male Uncle Mo, will stand in 2011 at Brereton C. Jones’s Airdrie Stud near Midway, Ky., for the same $70,000 stud fee that he stood for in 2010. Indian Charlie (In Excess--Soviet Sojourn, by Leo Castelli) is represented this year by the earners of $5.8 million. His fee is $70,000 stands and nurses.

Highlighted by a new Breeder Incentive Plan that rewards clients for paying early and/or purchasing multiple seasons to the same stallion, Indian Charlie also will be eligible for a 10% discount if the stud fee is paid on or before Nov. 1, 2011. His fee under that arrangement will be $63,000.

The remainder of the Airdrie stallions will be eligible for multiple mare discounts under the new Airdrie Breeder Incentive Plan - a 10% discount will be offered to each client that breeds two mares to the same stallion and a 15% discount is available for three or more mares to the same stallion. This is in addition to the 10% discount that will be honored for those clients choosing to pay on or before Nov. 1. 2011.

Airdrie has priced newcomer Majesticperfection  , by Airdrie stallion Harlan's Holiday   out of the Wavering Monarch mare Act So Noble, at $10,000 stands at nurses or at $9,000 payable Nov. 1 of year bred. Majesticperfection recorded the two highest Beyer Speed Figures up to a mile this year, a 117 and a 115.
