Grade I stakes winner and current Top 10 second crop sire Purge will stand at Vinery New York, according Vinery President Tom Ludt. The 9-year-old son of Pulpit has stood at Vinery in Kentucky since he entered stud in 2006.

Winner of the Cigar Mile (gr. I), Peter Pan (gr. II), and Jim Dandy (gr. II) stakes, Purge has ranked among the top10 sires in his crop in 2009 and 2010.  He currently is second in his crop by number of winners with 75. In addition, he has five stakes horses, three stakes winners, and two graded stakes winners.

“We think PURGE will be well received with New York breeders,” said Ludt. “He’s in the top of his crop in every category, is a son of  emerging sire of sires Pulpit, and on top of that he’s a very attractive individual.”
