Sarava, winner of the 2002 Belmont Stakes (gr. I), will stand the 2011 season at the Appleton family’s Bridlewood Farm near Ocala, Fla. A stud fee will be announced later.

Eleven-year-old Sarava (Wild Again—Rhythm of Life, by Deputy Minister) ranks among the top 10 Florida third-crop sires of 2010.

“Sarava is the only Belmont winner at stud in Florida, and the success of Belmont winners as sires has been proved time and time again,” said Bridlewood general manager George Isaacs. “Sarava has already enjoyed some success with his young runners, and they only figure to get better. He promotes soundness and versatility, and he has the added bonus of being Florida’s only son of Wild Again.”

Sarava's biggest win as a racehorse came when he beat Medaglia d'Oro   in the Belmont, spoiling the Triple Crown bid of War Emblem.

Sarava formerly stood at Double Diamond Farm near Ocala.
