WinStar Stud Fees Announced

WinStar Farm Nov. 16 announced 2011 fees for its roster of stallions, led by leading sire Distorted Humor , who will stand for $90,000 if paid by Nov. 1, 2011. or $100,000 live foal stands and nurses.
Distorted Humor is enjoying another banner year in 2010 with more than $8 million in progeny earnings to date. Among his top performers are Belmont Stakes (gr. I) winner
Drosselmeyer and international star
Pathfork, the undefeated group I-winning 2-year-old in Europe. Distorted Humor stood for $100,000 in 2010.
WinStar also recently announced its new arrivals for 2010—Kentucky Derby (gr. I) winner
Super Saver —who will stand for $18,000 if paid by Nov. 1, 2011, or $20,000 live foal stands and nurses. First-time sire
Hold Me Back will also stand at WinStar in 2011 for $5,000.
The other significant change to WinStar's stallion roster is
Speightstown , whose fee was raised from $35,000 last year to $50,000 in 2011.
“WinStar Farm stallions have enjoyed another successful year across the board, and we're excited about the future, especially with the additions of Hold Me Back and Super Saver,” Robert Hammond, director of bloodstock and stallion seasons at WinStar, said in a statement. “Our 2011 roster is as strong and wide-ranging as it's ever been. There is truly something for every breeder, and we look forward to working with all breeders, local and regional, again this upcoming season.”
