Darley’s European roster also includes the sires of eight European group I winners. Those stallions include Dubawi, (fee £55,000), who has made one of the best starts at stud since 1971; Shamardal, (€50,000), the sire of four 2010 group I winners and the Northern Hemisphere’s leading second-crop sire by cumulative earnings; Iffraaj (€15,000), Europe’s leading first season sire of 2010; Cape Cross (€35,000), sire of 2010 group I-winning 3-year-old colt Behkabad; and King's Best(€15,000), sire of Investec Epsom Derby (Eng-I) and Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (Fr-I) hero Workforce and 2010 Tokyo Hushin-Japanese Derby (Jpn-I) winner Eishin Flash.
Sam Bullard, Darley’s director of stallions, said, “The Darley stallions have had a tremendous year. Our 2011 roster offers breeders outstanding quality and great value highlighted by the fact that we have reduced the fees of all of our unproven stallions by 25%.”
