Blame  , who defeated Zenyatta in the Breeders’ Cup Classic (gr. I) Nov. 6, will stand for $35,000 at Claiborne Farm next year. The 4-year-old son of Arch   won four graded stakes this year, three of them grade Is—the Classic, the Whitney Handicap, and the Stephen Foster Handicap.

“We have always tried to help breeders in the marketplace,” said Claiborne bloodstock manager Bernie Sams. “We are committed to setting reasonable stud fees and to capping the number of mares bred.”

Arch, who also stands at Claiborne, got a bump in his stud fee to $30,000 from $25,000 for 2010.

The 2011 fees for the rest of the Claiborne stallion roster are as follows:  Pulpit  , $50,000; First Samurai  , $25,000; War Front  , $15,000; Political Force, $10,000; Stroll  , $7,500; Flatter  , $7,500; Eddington  , $5,000; Horse Greeley  , $5,000; and Parading  , $3,500.
