Blame , who won the Breeders’ Cup Classic (gr. I) Nov. 6 at Churchill Downs in what was his farewell race, was the main attraction at trainer Al Stall Jr.’s barn at Keeneland Tuesday, Nov. 9. Breeders and fans were able to get a good look at the 4-year-old colt before he heads to the Hancock family’s Claiborne Farm near Paris, Ky., where he will begin his stallion career in 2010.
Bred and raced by Claiborne and Adele Dilschneider, Blame (Arch —Liable, by Seekng the Gold) posted two additional grade I wins earlier this year, in the Stephen Foster Handicap and the Whitney Handicap. He was retired with nine wins from 13 starts and earnings of $4,368,214.
Blame also will be shown at Stall’s barn Wednesday, Nov. 10, starting at 9 a.m. EST. Since parking is limited, Keeneland has asked that those interested in attending park at the Thoroughbred Club of America, where shuttle service will begin at 8:45 a.m.
