The Oct. 31 edition of “60 Minutes,” which included a feature on undefeated Zenyatta, attracted 10.74 million viewers, according to Nielsen ratings.

The program on CBS ranked fifth among adults ages 18-49.

Leading the way was “Sunday Night Football” on NBC with 16.36 million viewers, followed by the fourth game of the World Series on FOX (13.33 million viewers); “Football Night in America” on NBC (12.47 million viewers); and “Desperate Housewives” on ABC (10.98 million viewers).

National Thoroughbred Racing Association senior vice president Keith Chamblin called the “60 Minutes” ratings “huge” considering increased competition from the World Series and the fact it was Halloween.

Zenyatta, 19-for-19 and hoping to end her career on a perfect note in the Nov. 6 Breeders’ Cup Classic (gr. I), was scheduled to arrive at Churchill Downs the afternoon of Nov. 2.
