With the morning temperature about 10 degrees warmer than the 34 reading the day before, more than a dozen contenders for the Breeders' Cup World Championships completed their works at Churchill Downs on Oct. 31.

Details on some of the individual works will follow but here is a list of those who worked:

Acoma (Ladies Classic) was timed in :50 (27/60). Splits were :12 4/5, :25 2/5 and :37 4/5, out five furlongs in 1:04.

Atoned, set for the Marathon, four furlongs in :49 3/5 (18/60), with fractions of :12, :24 1/5 and :37, gallopd out five furlongs in 1:03 1/5.

Espoir City (Classic), four furlongs, :49 3/5 (18/60). Splits of:13, :25 2/5 and :37 3/5. Galloped out five furlongs in 1:05.

Haynesfield   (Classic), four furlongs in :50 (27/60), with splits of :13, 25 4/5, and 38. Galloped out five furlongs in 1:02 2/5.

Jordy Y (Juvenile Fillies), five furlongs in 1:02 1/5 (16/41).

Keertana (Filly & Mare Turf), five furlongs on firm turf around the dogs in 1:01 2/5. Splits were :12 1/5, :25 1/5 and :38 2/5. Galloped out six furlongs in 1:18.

Madman Diaries (Juvenile/Juvenile Turf), five furlongs on firm turf around the dogs in 1:03 2/5 (3/5), in company with Nina Fever (Juvenile Turf Fillies) who finished in 1:03 3/5 (4/5). Madman Diaries started a length back. Splits for Madman Diaries were :25 2/5 and :39 2/5, out six furlongs in 1:18 3/5.

Mine That Bird (Dirt Mile), three furlongs from the gate in :37 2/5 (3/9) with Derivative. Galloped out four furlongs in :50 2/5.

Pleasant Prince (Classic), five furlongs in 1:01 3/5 (7/41) in company with Aegean (1:01 4/5). Splits were :12 3/5, :24 2/5, :36 2/5 and :48 4/5, out five in 1:15 4/5.

Riveting Reason (Juvenile), five furlongs in 1:01 4/5 (8/41), with splits of :12 1/5, :24 and 35 4/5.

Rose Catherine (Turf Sprint), four furlongs on firm turf around the dogs in :49 3/5 (1/1). Galloped out five furlongs in 1:04 2/5.

Quality Road  , in company with Aikenite, Quality Road worked four furlongs in :48 3/5 (7/60); Aikenite in :48 4/5 (13/60). Quality Road’s splits were :12, :24 1/5 and :36, galloped out five furlongs in 1:02. Aikenite galloped out five furlongs in 1:02 4/5.

Uncle Mo   and Stay Thirsty (Juvenile), four furlongs in :50 3/5 (37 3/5) each, with fractions of :12 3/5, :25 2/5 and :37 2/5, out five furlongs in 1:03 3/5.
