There is a possibility of rain in Louisville, Ky., Nov. 5 when the first day of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships will be held at Churchill Downs.
According to AccuWeather.com, "a couple of showers" are expected that day, with a high temperature of 62 degrees and a low of 46. The six Breeders’ Cup races Nov. 5 will be highlighted by the $2 million Ladies Classic (gr. I), which will be run under lights with a post time of 7:30 p.m. EDT.
The rain is expected to clear out by the next day, however, and "plenty of sunshine" is forecast for the Nov. 6 Breeders’ Cup card, with a high of 61 and low of 49. That day’s card is highlighted by Zenyatta’s defense of her Breeders’ Cup Classic (gr. I) crown and an attempt to end her career undefeated in 20 starts.
