Breeders’ Cup has made a few changes to the race order for its Nov. 5-6 World Championships at Churchill Downs.
Officials announced Oct. 27 that on Friday’s program, the Grey Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (gr. I) and Emirates Airline Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf (gr. IT) will flip-flop. The Filly & Mare Turf will now precede the Breeders’ Cup Ladies’ Classic (gr. I).
The Nov. 5 order of Breeders’ Cup races is as follows: Marathon (gr. III), Juvenile Fillies Turf (gr. IIT), Sentient Jet Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint (gr. I), Juvenile Fillies, Filly & Mare Turf, and Ladies’ Classic. The first Cup race is scheduled for 4:10 p.m. EDT and the last one at 7:30 p.m.
On the Saturday program, the Sentient Jet Breeders’ Cup Sprint (gr. I) was moved from the sixth Cup race to the second.
The Nov. 6 order of Breeders’ Cup races is as follows: Juvenile Turf (gr. IIT), Sprint, Turf Sprint (gr. IIT), Grey Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (gr. I), TVG Breeders’ Cup Mile (gr. IT), Dirt Mile (gr. I), Emirates Airline Breeders’ Cup Turf (gr. IT), and Classic (gr. I). The first Cup race is set for 1:50 p.m. and the last one for 6:45 p.m.
