Naughty New Yorker, a New York-bred Horse of the Year and champion older male, will be sold as a stallion prospect at the Keeneland November breeding stock sale. The 8-year-old son of Quiet American   was scheduled to run in the Oct. 23 Empire Classic Stakes at Belmont Park but was scratched because of a filling in an ankle.

Campaigned by Peter G. Schiff’s Fox Ridge Farm, Naughty New Yorker was voted 2007 Horse of the Year and top older male after winning the Alex M. Robb Handicap, the General Douglas MacArthur Handicap, and the Saratoga Sunrise Stakes.

Naughty New Yorker’s big win came in the 2006 Red Smith Handicap (gr. III) at Aqueduct. Naughty New Yorker raced 65 times and won or placed in 29 added-money events. His earnings were $1,087,084.

Dr. William B. Wilmot and Dr. Joan M. Taylor are the breeders of Naughty New Yorker, who is out of multiple stakes producer Naughty Natisha (by Known Fact).

Naughty New Yorker will be consigned to the Keeneland sale by Bluegrass Thoroughbred Services, agent.
