Breeders' Cup Early Forecast: Sunny and Cool

Unlike the sunscreen and sandals that are the norm for the Breeders' Cup World Championships in Southern California, racing fans will want to bring outerwear to this year's event.

According to the early forecast from Acuweather.com, the high temperature at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky. Nov. 5 will be around 50 degrees--10 degrees below normal--under sunny skies. Sunrise is at 8:13 a.m. (ET) and sunset at 6:39 p.m., well before the 7:30 p.m. post time for the featured Ladies Classic (gr. I).

On Nov. 6, the forecast is calling for partly sunny skies with a high of 59 degrees and low of 47. The sun will set at 6:38 p.m. That day’s featured Breeders’ Cup Classic (gr. I) has a scheduled post time of 6:45 p.m.
