The 2009 winner of the Sentient Jet Breeders’ Cup Sprint, Dancing in Silks, will not ship to Churchill Downs for another shot at the $2 million race, trainer Carla Gaines told the Daily Racing Form Oct. 22. Owner Ken Kinakin and Gaines made the decision after Dancing in Silks worked six furlongs Oct. 22 at Hollywood Park in 1:13 1/5.

“He’s not showing any interest,” Gaines told The DRF. “I’m not taking him (to Churchill)."

Dancing in Silks won four of his five races in 2009, including two other stakes, but has been unable to regain top form this year, finishing off the board in three of his four starts.

The 5-year-old gelding's best effort was a third-place finish in the Jan. 23 Palos Verdes Handicap (gr. II) at Santa Anita Park. In his most recent effort, the son of Black Minnaloushe was sixth in the Oct. 9 Ancient Title (gr. I) at Oak Tree at Hollywood Park.
