Columbine Stable’s J. B.'s Thunder, winner of the Dixiana Breeders’ Futurity (gr. I), breezed a half-mile in :47-flat under regular exercise rider Jerry O’Dwyer Oct. 22 at Keeneland in preparation for the Grey Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (gr. I).
J. B.’s Thunder worked in company with Adele Dilschneider’s 2-year-old Arch filly
Aide.
“They were very well within themselves; fractions have been fast all meet,” trainer Al Stall Jr. said after the work. “It looked good to my eye.”
J. B.’s Thunder earned an automatic berth in the BC Juvenile with his win in the Breeders’ Futurity. It marked the first grade I victory at Keeneland for owner Andrea Pollack, who purchased the Thunder Gulch colt for $42,000 at Keeneland’s 2009 September yearling sale. He is undefeated in two starts.
Stall said he will likely ship his stable, which includes Breeders’ Cup Classic (gr. I) hopeful
Blame , to Churchill Downs on Oct. 27.
