Millionaire Urgent Request, whose son Rainman's Request won the Sept. 20 Gateway to Glory Stakes for 2-year-olds at Fairplex Park, will stand the 2002 breeding season at Tom and Nancy Clark's Rancho San Miguel near San Miguel, Calif. Eleven-year-old Urgent Request (Rainbow Quest--Oscura, by Caro) currently is standing at Emirates Park in Australia. He last stood in North America at Flag Is Up Farms near Solvang, Calif.
Urgent Request, who is owned by Stewart Aitken, scored his big win in the 1995 Santa Anita Handicap (gr. I). In addition to Rainman's Request, Urgent Request also is the sire of 2-year-old stakes winner Northern Request from his first crop of foals. His fee will be $4,500 live foal.
