The Breeders’ Cup and Paulick Report have announced plans for a second "Breeders’ Cup or Bust" fund-raiser to support charities, including The V Foundation for Cancer Research, the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund, and Thoroughbred Charities of America.
This year, Paulick Report founder Ray Paulick and his business partner Brad Cummings will walk from Lexington to Louisville, Ky., culminating at the 2010 Breeders’ Cup World Championships, Nov. 5-6 at Churchill Downs.
Last year’s "Breeders’ Cup or Bust" raised $75,000 for Breeders’ Cup Charities in a cross-country drive from Lexington to Santa Anita for the 26th Breeders’ Cup World Championships, stopping at five racetracks along the way.
"Breeders’ Cup or Bust" will begin its nine-day walk from Keeneland Race Course on Oct. 27 and will arrive in Louisville Nov. 4, according to a release. Accompanied by an RV and sporting jockey silks, the team will be stopping along the way to raise money and awareness for the charities, and guest walkers will also join them at different stages.
Online donations can be made directly through a secured website through Breeders’ Cup Charities.
