Penn National Gaming, Inc. has announced that Mark Loewe will become vice president of racing for Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course in Grantville, Pennsylvania. Loewe, who has served as general manager of Sanford Orlando Kennel Club in Longwood, Florida. since February 2008, will have direct oversight of all pari-mutuel and racing office operations at Penn National when he assumes the position in mid-November. Loewe has been a Standardbred trainer and served in operational and management positions at racetracks in Florida and Iowa. Penn National also announced that Victor Harrison, executive director of the Virginia Racing Commission since 2008, will take Loewe’s position at Sanford Orlando Kennel Club. A former horse owner, Harrison also served as assistant general manager of Vernon Downs in Vernon, New York and as director of North American sales for United Tote Company. He also previously served as statewide manager for the Florida Department of Business Regulation, Division of Pari-Mutuel Wagering.
