Grade I winner Friends Lake has been sold to Saudi Arabian interests for stallion duty, according to Schumer Bloodstock. He arrived in Saudi Arabia Oct. 2.
Nine-year-old Friends Lake stood at Brereton C. Jones’ Airdrie Stud near Midway, Ky., where he sired 13 stakes horses. His five stakes winners include graded winner Screen Your Friend and 2010 added-money winners Friend Or Foe and Soundwave.
Friends Lake scored his big win in the 2004 Florida Derby (gr. I). He is by A.P. Indy out of grade I winner Antespend (by Spend a Buck).
