Hooray took the lead from start and was never challenged, romping home to an impressive 4 1/2-length victory in the Adnams Cheveley Park Stakes (Eng-I) at Newmarket Oct. 1.
Taking advantage of the far side draw, jockey Seb Sanders sent Hooray immediately to the front while grabbing a key position on the far rail. Displaying a quick turn of foot, Hooray spurted away from her rivals and opened up a two-length advantage within the first two furlongs.
Hooray continued to increase her lead throughout the sprint, staying on strongly in the final stages to win easily. Rimth held on for second, 1 1/4 lengths in front of Maqaasid. The final time for the six furlongs was 1:14.09 over the good to soft going.
Trained by Sir Mark Prescott, Hooray improved her record to four wins in seven starts. The 2-year-old bay filly, who races as a homebred for Cheveley Park Stud, is by Invincible Spirit out of Hypnotize, by Machiavellian.
