Fasig-Tipton has cataloged 1,168 yearlings for its Kentucky fall yearling sale at its Newtown
Paddocks headquarters in Lexington October 25-27. The number is up 20.2% from last year’s total of 972.

“As you would expect from a catalog of this size, there is great diversity among the sires represented and the consignors bringing them to the sale,” said Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning. “The sire list is impressive even if it’s not entirely A to Z – we’re missing an X and a Z!”

Graduates of the auction include Big Brown   and Mine That Bird, who won the 2008 and 2009 editions, respectively, of the Kentucky Derby Presented By Yum! Brands (gr. I). Mona de Momma, $100,000 purchase at the sale in 2007, captured this year’s Humana Distaff Stakes (gr. I).

The catalog can be accessed online now at Fasig-Tipton’s website (www.fasigtipton.com), and the print version will be available at all Fasig-Tipton offices by Oct. 6.

Each of the auction’s sessions will begin at 10 a.m. (EDT).
