Patricia Generazio’s Presious Passion, second in the Emirates Airline Breeders’ Cup Turf (gr. IT) at Santa Anita last year, has been entered in the ninth race on the Sept. 22 card at Delaware Park. The 7-year-old gelding, who has earned more than $2.5 million, will face seven other horses in the 1 1/16-mile conditioned allowance/optional claiming test on turf.

It will be the first start for Presious Passion since a seventh-place finish in the Monmouth Stakes (gr. IIIT) June 12. Previously this year, the Florida-bred trained by Mary Hartmann won the Feb. 28 MacDiarmida (gr. IIT) at Gulfstream Park and was last in the Guangsha Dubai Sheema Classic (UAE-I) at Meydan in the United Arab Emirates March 27.

Last year, Presious Passion posted a record of four wins and three seconds from nine starts with earnings of $1,524,275 including victories in the Clement L. Hirsch Memorial Turf Championship at Santa Anita and the United Nations at Monmouth (both gr. I).
