Complications arising from scheduling make it impossible for the New York Breeders Sales Co. to hold its fall breeding stock sale this year, officials said Sept. 13.

The auction was scheduled for Oct. 10. The NYBSC has held the sale every year since 2003 and called it a one-year hiatus.

“It is unfortunate that the sale will not be held this year, but I fully expect we will bring the sale back next year,” NYBSC president Joseph McMahon said in a statement.
