A colt from the first crop of Elusive Quality topped Sunday's session of the Keeneland yearling sale, selling for $300,000 to Bob Baffert, acting as an agent. Mill Ridge Sales, as agent, sold the colt, who is out of stakes winner Glimmer Glass, by The Axe II.
Keeneland sold 254 horses Sunday for an average of $50,537 from a gross of $12,836,300. Keeneland reported a median price of $37,000. Both the average and median were up this year from the corresponding session of a year ago.
Overall this year, the average and median prices are up slightly, though fewer horses have been sold thus far.
The sale continues through Sunday.
