Undefeated champion Zenyatta worked a leisurely four furlongs in :51.80 at Hollywood Park Aug. 25 on a fast track. Her time was the 19th fastest out of 20 working at that distance.

The 6-year-old daughter of Street Cry—Vertigineux is expected to make her next start in the $300,000 Zenyatta Stakes Oct. 2 during the Oak Tree Racing Association meet that will be held for the first time at Hollywood Park this year. The 1 1/16-mile race was previously known as the Lady’s Secret Stakes and was won by Zenyatta in 2008 and 2009.

A victory in the Zenyatta Stakes would give the impressive mare 19 consecutive wins and tie her for the all-time North American record held by Peppers Pride. Zenyatta already holds the modern day record for consecutive wins in stakes not restricted to state-breds.
