Augustin Stable’s Rainbow View, the morning-line favorite for the $750,000 Beverly D. Stakes (gr. IT) for fillies and mares Aug. 21, has been scratched.
According to the Arlington racing office, the 4-year-old Dynaformer filly, a two-time group I winner and millionaire, suffered a tendon injury. Trainer Jonathan Sheppard conditions Rainbow View, who most recently finished fourth in Arlington’s Modesty Handicap (gr. IIIT) July 17.

Robert Evans’ Marsh Side  , entered for the Arlington Million (gr. IT) on Aug. 21, was not aboard the equine charter from Southern California and is not expected to run in the race.

Trainer Neil Drysdale is the conditioner of Marsh Side, who finished fourth in the Arlington Handicap (gr. IIIT) July 17. The 7-year-old multiple grade I winner is now expected to run in the Sky Classic (Can-IIT) Aug. 22 at Woodbine. The Million will likely go to go to post with nine starters, including morning-line favorite Gio Ponti.
Also, James Hackman and Glenn Thompson’s Two Notch Road, entered for the $400,000 Secretariat Stakes (gr. IT) for 3-year-olds, was never shipped from his Monmouth Park base after coming down with a fever, according to Arlington’s racing office. Two Notch Road finished fourth in Monmouth’s Jersey Derby at last asking Aug. 1
