Marquesa de Moratalla is the breeder of Surfista, who was foaled in Great Britain and is out of the Kendor mare Subasta.
German-bred Shirocco, who was one of four European-breds that occupied the top four spots in the '05 Breeders’ Cup Turf, was a group I winner in England, Germany, and Italy and a champion in the latter two countries. Shirocco (Monsun—So Sedulous, by The Minstrel) stands at Sheikh Mohammed’s Dalham Hall Stud near Newmarket, England. His 2010 fee was 10,000 pounds, approximately $15,500 in U.S. funds.
