Golden Gear to Wycombe House in Florida

Sean and Barbara Kelly announced that an agreement has been reached to lease grade II winner Golden Gear and stand him at their Wycombe House Stud near Reddick Fla. Ten-year-old Golden Gear stood the 2001 season for Barry Golden and Morven Stud at Dr. and Mrs. John Chandler's Mill Ridge Farm near Lexington.

Golden Gear (Gulch--Fineza, by Lypheor) is the sire of 2001 stakes winners Ginger Gold and Wild Gear. The former won a division of the Sept. 8 Natalma Stakes (Can-IIIT) at Woodbine.

Golden Gear who won a dozen of 26 starts and earned $634,009, ranks eighth on this year's sires of 2-year-olds list by progeny earnings. He will stand for $6,000 in 2002.
