Fair Grounds and Lone Star Park, both of which closed their facilities Tuesday and Wednesday following the events in New York City and Washington D.C., will resume operations today.

All Finish Line off-track betting locations operated by Fair Grounds will be open for business as usual.

"Just as President Bush said this morning about the operation of government offices and agencies, we will resume business, but it will not be business as usual," said Bryan Krantz, Fair Grounds president as well as president of the Thoroughbred Racing Association of North America. "The racing industry will proceed tentatively, taking great care to respond appropriately to the continuing grief caused by these event, and move toward a resumption of normal activity."

Fair Grounds Phone Bet and Net Bet will also resume operation Thursday.

Lone Star Park's Post Time Pavilion will open for business Thursday with wagering offered on 19 facilities.
