More than 130 prominent sires are represented in this year’s sale, including Afleet Alex , Bernstein, Bob and John , Broken Vow , Candy Ride , City Zip , Discreet Cat , Dixie Union, Dixieland Band, Exchange Rate , Fusaichi Pegasus , Giant's Causeway , Grand Slam, Holy Bull, Langfuhr , Lawyer Ron, Lemon Drop Kid , Limehouse , Lion Heart, Northern Afleet , Rockport Harbor , Quiet American , Silver Deputy, Stormy Atlantic , Thunder Gulch , Bold Executive, Old Forester, and Where's the Ring.
“I believe we have a strong catalogue this year, and just from the amount of interest we’ve received so far, we’re expecting an excellent sale,” said CTHS general manager Julie Coulter in a release.
All yearlings from the sale will be eligible to participate in the $750,000 Sales Stakes at Woodbine, and beginning next year, purses for both the Muskoka and Simcoe Stakes, which are restricted to 2-year-olds, have been increased from $125,000 to $200,000.
The sale will be broadcasted live via the CTHS website at www.cthsont.com.
