Belmont Child Care Assoc. to Host Fundraiser

The Belmont Child Care Association is hosting the charitable event “Down Home Rodeo Party” to benefit the children of New York-based backstretch workers.

The event will take place at the Gideon Putnam Hotel in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Aug. 25 at 6:30 p.m.

Trainer D. Wayne Lukas will serve as the guest auctioneer of the event. Among the live auction items is a night with the University of Kentucky Wildcats and coach John Calipari Nov. 30. The package includes two seats behind the player’s bench, with an opportunity for two children to shoot around with the team and be ball boys (or ball girls). Other live auction items include: dinner for eight at the New York City residence of
Mexican Ambassador Ruben Beltran; and the rental of a Tuscan villa for seven days for four people.
