Half Brother to Lookin At Lucky Gets $750,000

A colt by Afleet Alex and half brother to Lookin At Lucky sold for $750,000.

A bay colt by Afleet Alex   out of Private Feeling, the dam of Looking At Lucky, sold for $750,000 to Sheikh Mohammed's agent John Ferguson at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga select yearling sale Aug. 3.

The half brother of the Haskell Invitational and Preakness Stakes (both gr. I) winner was consigned by Gainesway Farm as agent. He was bred by Jerry Baily and Lance Robinson's Gulf Coast Farm, which also bred Lookin At Lucky.

Private Feeling is also the dam of multiple grade II winner Kensei.

The colt, hip no. 142, is one of four horses bought by Ferguson during the sale's second session. He's also purchased a $650,000 colt by Street Cry out of My Boston Gal consigned by Lane's End as agent, and a $200,000 colt by Bernardini   out of Owsley consigned by Stone Farm, and a $290,000 son of A.P. Indy out of Safari Queen consigned by Sweezey and Partners, agent for Arindel Farm.
