Zenyatta had her regular weekly workout at Hollywood Park on the morning of July 30, breezing six furlongs in 1:13 3/5, the co-fourth fastest work of the day among 13 horses going that distance.
The move followed a bullet work in 1:12 2/5 over the artificial surface a week earlier. Zenyatta’s workout, her fifth since the undefeated daughter of Street Cry improved her record to 17-for-17 with the Vanity Handicap (gr. I) victory on June 13, also came on the same day that the connections of Horse of the Year Rachel Alexandra announced she would make her next start in the Aug. 29 Personal Ensign (gr. I) at Saratoga.
Owners Jerry and Ann Moss and trainer John Shirreffs have not announced when Zenyatta will make her next outing in a race, though she is expected to go in the Aug. 7 Clement Hirsch (gr. I) at Del Mar, a race she has won each of the last two years.
