Bloodstock agent John Fulton is Fasig-Tipton’s new representative in South and Central America, the Lexington-based auction firm announced July 26. His appointment is part of Fasig-Tipton’s ongoing effort to enhance its international outreach.

“John has all the attributes we could ask for in this role,” said Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning.  “He has a deep, practical knowledge of our industry, first as a trainer and latterly as a bloodstock agent.  John spends much of his time in South America and knows all the leading players there.  We look forward to working with him to raise the level of awareness of our sales program to this very important group of buyers and sellers.”

Earlier this year, Fasig-Tipton named Richard Brown and Byron Rogers to serve as its representatives in Europe and Australasia, respectively. They and Fulton make up a team that also includes the company’s longtime Japanese representative, Naohiro Goda.

“I’m excited to be working with the company, which is being very proactive in these overseas markets,” Fulton said. “Latin America is already known for the excellence of the racehorses it produces.  Buyers from here can play an important role in a number of Fasig-Tipton’s sales.”
