Mission Impazible  , winner of this year’s Louisiana Derby (gr. II), is expected to be sidelined for the rest of the 2010 racing season after having a bone chip surgically removed from a knee.

According to a posting on the 3-year-old colt’s Facebook page, Mission Impazible injured himself while finishing ninth in the May 1 Kentucky Derby Presented By Yum! Brands (gr. I). Owned by Twin Creeks Racing Stables, the son of Unbridled's Song is recuperating at Twin Creeks Farm near Nonesuch, Ky.

Mission Impazible has won two of his six career races while earning $525,254. His efforts have included third-place finishes in the Southwest (gr. III) and Kentucky Juvenile (gr. III) Stakes.

Bred in Kentucky by Summer Wind Farm, Mission Impazible was consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent, to the 2008 Keeneland September yearling sale, where Twin Creeks Racing purchased him for $200,000. The colt is out of the Hold Your Peace mare La Paz.
