Jockey Thomas Clifton won his 2,000th race on July 15 when he guided 2-year-old Dinny Dinosaur to victory in the first race at Penn National. Dinny Dinosaur was sent off at 4-1 odds in the five furlong maiden claimer.
Clifton, the leading jockey at the Pennsylvania track in 2005, returned to the winner’s circle for victory number 2001 when D J.s Storm won the fifth race.
