Strong Contender Sires First Winner

Grade II winner Strong Contender came through with his first winner when his daughter Ozzie’s Harriet scored July 11 at Arapahoe Park. Owned by Eddie Bergkamp, Ozzie’s Harriet won by 3 1/2 lengths in :59.81 for five furlongs.

Richard Forbush is the breeder of Kentucky-bred Ozzie’s Harriet, who is the first foal from the winning Swiss Yoder mare Dotted Swiss.

Strong Contender (Maria's Mon—Kopenhagen, by Dynaformer  ) stands at Stonewall Farm Stallions near Versailles, Ky. His 2010 fee was $7,500.
