The National Museum of Racing’s 2010 Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be broadcast live on HRTV on Friday, Aug. 13 at 10:30 a.m. EDT. The event will also be streamed live online at www.hrtv.com and on the Museum’s Web site at www.racingmuseum.org.
“We are very pleased to have HRTV broadcast the Hall of Fame ceremony,” said Joe Aulisi, the National Museum of Racing’s director. “The HRTV network provides tremendous national exposure to the sport of Thoroughbred racing and their productions are top-notch. We look forward to being able to showcase a prestigious event such as the Hall of Fame ceremony to a much broader audience through the help of HRTV.”
The 2010 Hall of Fame class is comprised of jockeys Don Pierce and Randy Romero; trainer Michael “Buster” Millerick; and horses Azeri, Best Pal, Harry Bassett, and Point Given. Hall of Fame jockey Gary Stevens is scheduled to be the event’s guest speaker.
The Hall of Fame ceremony will be held at the newly renovated Fasig-Tipton sales pavilion in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. The event is free and open to the public.
