Cartier Horse of the Year Hurricane Run sired his first winner when his daughter Cochabamba won July 7 at Lingfield in England at first asking. Cochabamba, whose victory came at six furlongs, is owned by The Rat Racers.

Shortgrove Manor Stud is the breeder of Irish-bred Cochabamba, who is the second winner from two starters from the Distant View mare Bolivia.

A champion in England, Ireland, and France, Hurricane Run (Montjeu—Hold On, by Surumu) stands for $17,500 euros (approximately $22,000) at Coolmore Stud in Ireland.
