Thoroughbred racing fans and handicappers now have access to an expanded racing website, including video of live racing, for Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack & Resort.

Accessible through www.mtrgaming.com under live racing, the upgraded site provides a real-time viewing of each day's racing, along with scratches and race changes as they occur. Nancy McMichael and Mark Patterson, co-hosts of Mountaineer’s simulcast show, provide columns offering their insight and information on racing.

“The website is designed expressly for racing fans,” Mountaineer director of racing Rose Mary Williams said in a release. “Racing fans will find information such as ‘horses to watch,’ leading trainers and jockeys,   track conditions, and track bias information. The website will be managed in-house by Mountaineer racing personnel, thus providing racing fans with state-of-the-art, real-time information."

The site also will have updated information on the Aug. 7 West Virginia Derby (gr. II).

Mountaineer races live on a Friday-through-Tuesday schedule with first post at 7 p.m. EDT. First post for the West Virginia Derby program is set for 2 p.m.
